Parkour Tutorial

Parkour is defined as the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment. It is a key gameplay element that would serve you well to master.

The Wall Eject
Backwards Wall Eject: Hit the wall freerunning, then once you are halfway up hit A to jump backwards, while not touching the right stick. You will jump backwards and grab on to the nearest ledge.
Side Wall Eject: Hit the wall freerunning, then once halfway up hold left or right on your left stick and hit A to jump sideways. You will grab on to the nearest ledge.

Roof Movement
Roof drop: You probably have found that dropping off the side of a roof after freerunning is difficult to impossible. You can fix this by just before you reach the edge, let go of A and you will fall to the ground, without jumping off the roof.

Grasp
Catch back:If you are high up on a building holding onto a ledge, and want to drop to a lower point, hit B to let go, then hold B to grab on to the nearest ledge.
Jump up: If you are on a low point in the building but would like to cover several seconds worth of climbing at once, hit A to jump, then hit B to grab onto the ledge.
Side grasp: While grabbing onto something, hit your intended direction on the left stick, and hit A. Then hold B to grab onto the nearest ledge.

Combine all of these, with your existing knowledge, to become quite a dominant player.
