MP DLC 2.0

"Hey could you make an article on the new DLC? Thanks man."

Well for starters, the newest DLC, DLC 2.0, introduced an entirely new gametype, which was packaged with the map Pienza. It's free, so I'd recommend picking it up now. Most maps have no distinction between one another, so a gametype analysis will suffice. In the new gametype Chest Capture, the objective is to either capture the opponents chest, or defend the chest. The way this is done is by standing in the marker around the chest, similar to domination from Call of Duty or territories from Halo.

The offense must sit in the chest area, while waiting for the chest to capture. The more people in an area, the faster it captures. I'd recommend hopping on the mic designating one area to rush off bat. They will be able to find it, seeing as the offense always knows the location of the chests. But the reason for everyone rushing one specific area, besides it capturing faster, is that for everyone in the area receives 150 points. Therefore the more people, the more effective your team will be. Note, after 2 chests have been captured, the last and final chest of the is worth 400. So even more reward for focusing on that last chest. Smoke bomb will be needed for the final chest, otherwise the capture area will become a manslaughter.

The defense must stop the enemy from capturing the chest. You will know where everyone is on your radar, and there will be a marker on the chest area. But the catch is once you enter the area, your radar is blurred. You can listen for the sounds the radar makes when someone is in your line of sight, but no specific location finder. So, I'd recommend getting out of the perimeter of the area, or staying on the edge and looking in when defending.

Stun Technique

I was asked a question while playing today, and thought I'd answer it in the form of a app post.

"So basically I just keep getting killed when I try to stun people which in turn has made me rage quit constantly. How do I go about it effectively?"

Well, first you must realize you can't just counter every pursuer that is following you, otherwise the game would turn into “kill your pursuer” and not “chase your victim”. The mechanic is there to counter unaware enemies. The plus side is that when you pull one off, you get quite a good amount of points, and get the added benefit of annoying your enemy. Below are some ways to catch your opponent unaware.

If you know you're chaser is nearby, run into a crowd with the morph ability equipped, and morph the whole group into your clones. Now you have a 80% chance of survival assuming you morphed a group of 5. As soon as he makes the move on the first person, stun the opponent and run.

An alternate strategy is to coordinate with your team, and hide near each other. Rather than moving around the map in manhunt or alliance, hide in one area and morph groups to hide in. This way, if one your allies get killed, you can run over to avenge him.

If you refuse to play passive, I'd recommend equipping the smoke bomb. Drop the smoke bomb when he is near, but not too close, then casually walk up while he is doubled over, stun him, and slip away into the crowd. But be weary, if there is multiple enemies, you may want to only use it to block a path, not as an offensive tool to stun opponents.
